new Valve cover gasket and spark plugs now car is sputtering and feels like it is going to die

I picked up my car from the mechanic after he changed the gaskets and spark plugs now my car is sputtering and feel like it is about to stall. he said that is normal. It did not do that when I dropped off the car.

give a day of good driving, when plugs are changed the engine/computer has to get used to firing new ones instead of the old worn out ones he is right.
