I have the pickup truck listed above and I blew my head gasket. so taking apart my head gasket I got my valve cover I took it off and I decided to pressure wash it because it was a loyal and dirty. after pressure washing it I realized it looks like a machine shop press two pieces of metal to inside the bottom of my valve cover gaskets. I'm not sure if I mess them up or not because they're all messed up looking. never affect my truck and if so how do I fix that? do I just buy a whole new valve cover or do I how to open that with a screwdriver or looks like at the machine question?

The attached is the newer cover but the baffles should be almost the same. There are baffles and returns that keep oil from going out the PCV and air inlets. They are very thin aluminum so high pressure water may have done some damage. There is a better unit available that has better baffling that is sealed, it combats oil use through the PCV valve. GM Part #12570563
