Hi dear,

If the gearbox oil filter is dirty, what effect does it have on the gearbox?
How can we test valve body TSS components without dismantling them?
Need to replace a gearbox cooling filter?

Good morning,

The simple answer is no, you cannot test it in the car. That needs to be done on a bench as it is mechanical.

The fluid is critical. Dirty fluid will cause a build up on the passages in the valve body and restrict movement and that will effect the operation of the transmission.

That is why it is mandatory to change the fluid and filter at the intervals required if you want your transmission to work correctly.
