Vacuum pod is full of what looks like transmission fluid and is leaking out all over the vacuum hoses.

check for a blocked PCV valve and system. transmission has no lines connected to engine unless it is a 350 or 400 three speed transmission.

It s the stock 700R-4. It could be just oil but it does have a little tint of red in it. I pulled another one off a S-10 and it also had fluid in it. Also my four wheel drive pod under the battery tray has oil in it too. So I should check the PCV system?

yes, it may be partially blocked and engine is putting oil in vacuum lines going to tanks. make sure PCV works well as well.
