We have the car listed above motor with a vacuum hose (we think that is what it is), that is disconnected on one end. We are not able to figure out where it is attached on the opposite end.

Hi,

Is it possible to get a few pictures so I know what you are looking at? Otherwise, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Let me know.

Thank you so much for responding. I have some pictures I am going to try to upload.
In the pictures, the one we are having trouble with is the hose that has the purple line beside it (where it is hooked up) and then another of what the end looks like that we don't know where it goes.

Here are the pictures. The first one is a view of it before I added the purple line to show which one we are having trouble with.

If this is a 4-cylinder engine, I believe it is the canister purge valve. The disconnected end should go to a vacuum port on the intake manifold.

Start the engine and check if a vacuum is present on the hose in question. Also, listen to see if you hear a hissing sound near or around the intake manifold.

If this is a V6 engine, let me know.

this is a four-cylinder engine. there was no suction at the hose and no hissing at the manifold. i know that hose has to go somewhere just don't know where. i am getting evap codes and it runs a little rough. I'm thinking that hose has something to do with some of it. Thank you for all your help.

I believe that hose goes to the air intake tube, please check the under side of the tube as well.
