Vacuum booster to manifold hose connector?

I have the car listed above SE with a 2.3L. I need to know what connects the hose from vacuum/brake booster to the hose that goes to the manifold someone typed up the piece that connects those to hoses together because car was barely running and the piece in between those hoses was falling apart but if I un tape it my car won't run. But I don't know if it's just a connector or some kind of valve or sensor but I need to fix it for smog I have a part number YS4Z-9A475-AA. Ford doesn't make that part any longer. So, I'm stuck unless you might have an answer for me.

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge, which is just a connector and serves no other purpose. You may need to find one in a salvage yard.

Also, please confirm I'm looking for the correct part. See pic 2. If you are unable to find one, take a pic of what you are dealing with and upload it for me to see. Maybe I'll come up with a solution.
