broke a part that sits in between the throttle body and A/C compressor on top of the engine?

My truck is running rough, I broke a part that sits in between the throttle body and A/C compressor on top of the engine. I've took a picture of the part and Google it but It's giving me 2 different options 1) ported vacuum switch 2) oil sending switch. Can you please tell me what it is and what its purpose is?
