Using fuel quickly

When I fill my fuel tank to the brim the first quarter of a tank seems to go down really quickly a lot quicker than the rest. Why would this be?

Does the car in good running condition? Do you perform routinely scheduled maintenance? Is the Check Engine Light on? With 130,000 miles you might want to consider doing a fuel injection cleaning/service. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
