Can I use a 4WD gearbox in a 2WD vehicle

One of the hoses burst and brother messed up the whole thing. He gave me a 4wd gear box but I have a 2wd car. Can I use the gear box?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Unfortunately, no the two transmissions have a different output shaft length and will not be compatible. You will have to use a 2wd version. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
