Will replacing the upper stopper front struts affect the wheel alignment?

I want to change upper stoppers for the front strut and the nuts as water got in there and they rusted. Would that change the wheel alignment as at the moment it is spot on and I do not want to affect it by changing the stopper and the nut.

Hello,

In order to access the upper shock absorber mountings, you will need to remove the shock absorber from the vehicle. This will affect the front wheel alignment.

If the rust bothers you, you could coat the nuts and thread with grease or anti seize compound. This can be purchased online or at car parts stores. see image 1 below
