I cannot identify a part that I am needing to purchase. And I can't find it in my Chilton book. I know it controls the air flow but it is not the sensor. It is attached to the mass air flow sensor. But this part goes straight into the engine with wires. One of the wires broke off and that's what I need to replace. I have a picture of the part.

Good afternoon,

There are several parts there and I see no broken wires. Can you take another picture and circle the part?

The part is circled now and you can see the wire or hose that's missing. I have no idea if it's a hose or a wire, sorry. All I know is it controls the air flow somehow. When I stop at a light or stop sign it stalls. This same thing happened with my other Buick and it was an air flow problem. The issue didn't happen with this car until this piece was accidentally broken off while changing the battery. Thank you for your reply! I'm trying to sell the car now and just need this piece, but don't know the name of it.

This is called a vacuum block for the throttle body. This will be a dealer part. You can go to a GM parts department at a dealer and show them the same picture.
