I drove my motor home to a gas station, and I turned the engine off, when I went to turn the engine back on nothing happened; no crank, no spark, nothing's turning on, and my fuel pumps not turning on. The battery is brand new. I thought it was that I needed a new ignition switch and an ignition lock cylinder, so I bought one and installed it, still no power. What could cause my engine to refuse to start and no spark or do anything with no noise at all? When I shut it off and then less than an hour later, I turn it back on or I go to turn it back on and it won't do anything. I have been stranded for two days now with no help.

This happens when the positive battery cable needs to be replaced. Also, check the fusible links down at the starter, they should be like a solid wire. Also, cleaning the battery cable connection may help as well. Please check out this guide to help you with the repair:

Please go over this guide and report back.
