Flashing check engine light

Hi my car (vauxhall/opel vectra c 1.9cdti)
I have the check engine light flashing but no error code. This happend when I lost 'power' and the car went into 'safe mode'. After this I cannot get the car to start or idle and if it starts it idles for maybe five seconds. Does anyone know what it could be?
All the help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

This sounds like the computer has gone bad. Can you get any communication from it? Lets try running the codes to see what comes up.
