Under hood fuse box bolt removal

Hi,

Not being there to know exactly what is happening, that is a hard question to answer.

I attached three pics below of different views of the fuse box. Can you identify where you are referring to? Or, can you take a pic of what you have and upload it for me to see?

I have to be honest, chances are it will only work in the original place. However, there are some terminals that are tied together. I would really need to inspect what you have.

Looking at pic 1, I believe I see where you mean. However, it looks like they are two separate leads to them. That would not work.

I was able to get the piece of of the guide box here's a picture of it. Would you happen to know what it's called?

That appears to be the power supply for the fuse box. If that is broken, I don't believe it is repairable.

I'm looking at pic 3 above. Is that the side of the fuse box?

My pics are uploading sideways for some reason. Pic 3 is the top of the fuse box with the broken bolt still in it... Pic 1 is what's left of the broken bolt, it's the end piece that sits in the fuse box. The bigger end just sits in a housing in the top of the fuse box, the bolt was/is about a inch long, then the cable slides down over the bolt and is secured by a nut to complete the electrical current... I've uploaded a screen shot it's a little blurry but it shows what it should normally look like.

That's what I thought. That is the main power supply from the battery to the box. To the best of my knowledge, that isn't repairable. At this point, I would suggest finding a good one from a salvage yard and change it.

That bolt has direct power from the battery. You don't want problems in that area because it could cause a fire.

I wish I had a better answer. Let me know if you have other questions or if there is something I can do to help.
