Suddenly, no indicators, no hazard, no central locking, no interior lights. Apparently, you can't buy a new one from Renault and finding a part with the same serial number is tricky to say the least. I've been told if you find one of will need to be sent away to be reprogrammed. It' seems such a long winded to get this working again?

Hello,

All these functions are controlled by the UCH, Body Control Module.
The UCH is coded to the vehicle as they function as the immobilizer unit too.
You will need to purchase the exact model, part number, as there as several types.

Once you have obtained a working unit, it can be verified by plugging it into the vehicle, then this unit together with your old unit will have to be sent away to a specialist ECU repair shop for cloning.

Please note that you can plug in the "new" UCH for testing, it will operate your lights etc, but will not start your vehicle

The other route would be to send your old UCH for repair to a specialist ECU repair shop.
If you are based in the UK companies such as BBA remanufactured or ECU Testing can assist with this.

Please let us know.

Cheers, Boris
