Codes U1000 and B2193

Hi,

I suspect you are having an issue with the security system. If that is incorrect, let me know. Also, in the US, this vehicle isn't offered. I am using information from the Nissan Frontier which I believe to be the same vehicle with a different name.

When these two codes are listed at the same time, we have to start by diagnosing the u1000 code first. This code is specific to the CAN bus system. Here are the directions for that procedure. Note that I am basing this on a security system error determined by the B2193 you have.

Diagnosis Procedure

1. PERFORM SELF DIAGNOSTIC

1. Turn ignition switch ON and wait for 2 seconds or more.
2. Check "Self Diagnostic Result" of BCM.
Is "CAN COMM CIRCUIT" displayed?
YES- Refer to "Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart" See: Information Bus > Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview > Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.
NO- Refer to "Intermittent Incident" See: Vehicle > Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview > Intermittent Incident.
