Good evening.

Yes, you are correct. If you use the wrong fluid, it will harm the clutches and seals.

Okay, my question still remains what transmission fluid do I use in a 2003 Ford F250? It has a 5.4 liter engine it is 4-wheel drive. I want to know how do I know what fluid do I use what transmission uses what fluid and how do I distinguish between transmissions to know what fluid to use? The manual does not tell me anything. It has told me the exact same you just told me.

Since there are three different transmissions, can you post a picture of the transmission pan and upload it here so I can identify it for you?
