Most likely the problem is either fuel related or ignition spark related. With that in mind, we need to check if there is proper fuel pressure to the engine and if the spark plugs are getting spark. Take a look through this link:

Now to check the fuel pressure, you will need a gauge. Most parts stores will lend / rent the gauge to you. When checking the ignition spark, the use of some very basic electrical circuit testing equipment is needed. Here are links if you need to see how they are used:
