Turn signals flash at the same time

When I either use the signal switch for either left turn or right turn both flashers activate at the same time as if my hazard flashers come on. I have no clue as to what is causing this as this is the first I've ever heard of it.

it cold be a bad bulb or maybe the flaser relay is screwing up and sending power to everywhere. or the switch is broken. the relay is behind lh kick panel. also check body ground on battery so no corrosion/etc.
