All of a sudden the turn signals and hazard lights in our vehicle listed above (Sport model) have stopped working. When you hit the hazards button or signal switch you can hear the clicking, but the lights don't flash inside or out. Bulbs are good, they do light up when headlights are on and the fuses are good.

Is the clicking that you hear at a higher rate or is it clicking the same speed as normal?

The clicking that you are hearing is actually the relay/flasher. So if you hear the clicking but don't have any lamps or the interior signals then I suspect the flasher has failed even though it is clicking.

I would suggest changing out the flasher and retest it.

Hi,

If you hear the flasher making noise, there is a joint connector behind the dash on the left side which receives power for the lights (both exterior and exterior) which I suggest checking. Since you hear sound, then it appears the fuse is supplying power but it isn't reaching its destination. The joint connector is one place everything comes together.

See pic 1 I have arrows pointing the direction of power flow from the switch. The R indicates where the wiring continues to the rear lights. Note that the joint connector is in the middle of everything. However, it is after the flasher you are hearing.

Check the condition of this connector for damage, corrosion, and make sure it is tight.

Once you have confirmed that everything is okay, I need you to check if there is power at the green/ yellow and green/blue wires.

Here are a few links you may find helpful when testing:

Also, please reconfirm the fuses are good and there is power to them.

If you look at pics 2, 3, and 4, they show location of the flasher relay and flasher unit.

I hope this helps. Let me know what you find or if you have questions

Joe
