Clearly the first thing that comes to mind is that the new switch is faulty. Any time we have an issue that was not there prior to a part replacement then we have to assume that part is to blame.

However, this could be a relay issue but it is unlikely due to the hazard lights functioning properly. They share a relay so if all this work except the turn signals, i would replace the switch again and see what happens.
