Turn signal does not have any resistance or clicks when you flip it up or down like somethings missing or broke. How does it come apart?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

You will need to remove the steering wheel and the trim panel on the column to access the switch. Here are the directions from Alldata:

Procedures
Vehicle Sensors and Switches Sensors and Switches - Lighting and Horns Turn Signal Switch Service and Repair Procedures
PROCEDURES
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel.
3. Remove steering column trim covers.
4. Disconnect combination switch electrical connectors, and remove stop ring from steering column shaft.
5. Remove combination switch from steering column.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Position angle sensor, if equipped, by setting wheels in straight ahead position and aligning alignment marks.

Here are the directions for steering wheel removal.

PROCEDURES
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Mark steering column and steering shaft for installation reference.
3. Remove horn pad and steering wheel locknut.
4. Using a suitable puller, remove steering wheel. Do Not remove the steering wheel by hitting the shaft with a hammer, the column will collapse.
5. Reverse procedure to install, align marks made prior to removal and torque steering wheel locknut to 29-36 ft. Lbs.

Let me know if this helps.
