Turn signal problems

The left turn signal went out so we put in new 3157A bulb per the manual the signal flashes a fast flash and only shows it is flashing when the headlights are off. Not sure what to do now.

Good afternoon.

The socket the bulb is in, make sure it is clean of all dirt and debris. This is usually a sign of a bad ground contact in the socket.
