None of my exterior lights are working except the headlights. I went to install a new fuses into the tail light and brake light fuse receptacles and I could see sparking and fuses continue to blow. I looked at the bulbs in the back or okay none of the dash lights work either. Any ideas what would cause all this?

If your fuses are blowing immediately you have a short in wiring. If you have added something which you drilled into dash look there. If not look along frame and rear of truck as well as under hood on parking light wires. It will be a brown wire both front and back also check ground at left hand rear of frame.

Well, it could be something else, but that would be to start. Actually check that wire at taillight as it may be a socket that is bad although I have never seen two go out at same time meaning both sides. On very back frame rail under box there may also be a board check there from front to see if power is going there as well if none to lights on box.
