Turbo whine

my car runs and made it through a recent inspection. There is a loud whine coming from turbo during acceleration. Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I need to replace the turbo? Is there an affordable option for replacement?

Yes, this is a sign the turbo has gone out check eBay for a replacement.
