At what mileage would you re-manufacture/rebuild the turbo? Doesn't seem to be causing any problems but I am concerned that the high mileage and age would indicate it should be done as part of maintenance.

This is not something that requires service until it needs it. In other words, when there is a problem it would need to be service or replaced.

Some people say they should be rebuilt but I have never done that and don't agree with it. Think about the idea of rebuilding the engine just for the heck of it. If there is no issue then you don't need to do that. The turbo would fall under the same idea.

Clearly you can do this and not hurt anything but again, my thought is if its not broken don't mess with it.

Let me know if you have questions and we can go from there. Thanks
