What is the best way to change the spark plugs on this pickup? what would cause an intermittent stumble or hesitation that happens after driving several hours at between 1200 and 2000 rpm then run fine for several hours again then have the same problem ? any help would help.

A cycle like that would not be the spark plugs. The bad running would be constant as the plugs would not repair themselves. It sounds more like a fuel system issue. When does it start to run worse? As the fuel tank gets low or right after filling it? Does it run fine and then you stop and it acts up after you stop?
