Tying to swap my Pontiac Firebird V6 and put a 5.7 Vortec from a 1996 Chevrolet truck? Will it fit in and if it does what problems could I face?

Good afternoon,

Yes, it will fit fine but this is a huge project.

You will need the engine, complete wiring harness including the PCM and all sensors, and also the transmission as the 1996 has an electronic transmission.

You are going from OBD1 to an OBD2 system.

You will need complete custom exhaust, driveshaft that may have to be made, radiator to cool the bigger engine and possibly new springs to support the added weight.

Nice project but very pricey.
