Trunk will not open

The trunk will not open with the remote or button inside vehicle. How can I fix this without having to take it to the repair man? Help

I would check the fuses. Check the image below for fuse box location and a visual on what a blown fuse looks like. There is not one that is specifically labeled for the trunk, so you will need to check each fuse.
