Trunk will not close

More then likely the latch is stuck in the closed position. Does the latch feel like it is hitting hard on the striker when closing and then it "bounces" back?

If this is the case then the most common repair is to replace the latch. I included that process. However, try operating the handle a few times to see if you can open the latch and then close the hatch at that point. Sometimes these latches get "flip" closed and just opening it again with the handle will release the latch.
