Trunk lid cannot be opened

I have tried everything in owners manual but I cannot get the trunk lid to open. Is there a way to manually open it? I want to get it repaired the right way. I appreciate all of your time and work.

Hello.

There is a cable to manually open the trunk lid can you hear the latch click? Can you push down on the lid while opening it and then pull up? Also, you may need to remove the rear seat to gain access.
