I have the car listed above GLK350. I backed into an upper porch and since then the latch does not connect. The latch still makes a sound when i click to open it, it also moves to the u lock position but does not connect when I close the rear trunk. There is no button, all opening and closing of the trunk is manual!

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Based on your description, I suspect the lock motor was damaged. The motor has plastic gears which lock the unit when closing.

I attached a picture of the motor. Make sure none of the wiring was damaged or disconnected.

Let me know.

Take care,
Joe
