Transmission will only shift into neutral

My truck will shift into neutral but when shifted into neutral wont shift to anything else. We have changed the shifter linkage.

Hi,

I need to better understand. Are you able to shift to reverse? If you shift directly to drive, can you do it? Is the problem with gear selection or a possible transmission issue?

I attached directions below for the removal and replacement of the shift cable. Take a look through them to make sure nothing was missed or done incorrectly.
