I was in my truck listening to the radio with the acc on and the truck turned off. I then tried to crank the truck and it would not crank. I got my son to jump my truck off and it cranked right up. I figured it was the battery. I took my truck to AutoZone and the used their machine to check my battery, alternator and starter and the results all came back that all were good. The guy at AutoZone said it could be a bearing or dirt and grime in the starter or a short somewhere.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Honestly, most times when this happens it is the result of a loose or dirty battery terminal connection. That is where I would start. The truck is new enough and has low enough mileage that I don't feel the starter is bad, but I could be wrong.

Follow this link. It discusses a typical condition when you try to start the vehicle and nothing happens even though the battery is good. It then explains about the battery terminals. Do this first and let me know what you find.

Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions. Also, let me know the results.

Take care,
Joe
