When I begin to start the truck there is no activity from fuel pump, click from starter, “service engine soon”, “ABS”, “battery”, “lights turn on. Stereo works, lights turn on, truck will not start. I tightened terminals on battery as well and still no luck.

Hi,

Does it eventually start? Have you checked the battery cables' conditions? Also, have you checked to make sure the ground between the battery and the engine block is tight, clean, and undamaged where it bolts to the engine block?

Next, I need you to check fuse 6 in the under-hood fuse/relay box. If it is good, go to the starter motor. There will be a smaller gauge purple wire that won't have power until the key is in the start position. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check if there is power to the purple wire. I attached the starter circuit wiring schematic below so that you would have a reference.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

It was the starter! I figured it out this morning. Thanks for the help, it is greatly appreciated! I checked the fuse box prior to the solution by the way. Thanks again!
