I bought this used and it has an OB-2180 remote start that was installed when new as the date is close to the date the truck was made. Everything working as should and did not drive for about a week when I tried to start it using the remote start as well as just using the key it wont even click. Battery is good when the remote button is pushed it causes the lights on the instrument panel to light as if it were trying to start but no go. I cannot find the manufacturer of the remote start so I am not able to know how to check if in vale mode or if it is the immobilizer. The blue light remains solid it use to blink every few seconds. Do not trust dealers would a geek at Best Buy be better?Anyway if you have read this thank you.

Hello,
This sounds like the remote start stopped working or the IPDM or starter is out. we need to test for power at the starter solenoid first. here is a guide to help and the starter wiring diagrams so you can see how it works and the IPDM replacement instructions as well:
Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

To whom this may concern. While I appreciate the extensive response the started is not the problem I have not seen any information in regards to the remote start other than it may be bad but you did not send a link tor that model. How is one suppose to check if I have no manual?

Can you test for power through the remote start module? Can you take a picture of the module so I can see it, that way I can help? Can you confirm the starter is not getting a signal on the trigger wire?
