Truck will crank but not start

Brand new battery, truck will crank when ignition switch is turned on. It won't start, and when I stop the engine will act like it was trying to start but then shuts off.

when turning the key to the on position, I do hear the fuel pump motor kicking on for a few seconds so it isn't that.

Not sure when the last time the sparkplugs were replaced.

Hello,

It sounds to me like you could having a problem with your Crankshaft Position Sensor. Here are a couple links that you might find helpful:
