I bought a truck from a guy who had rewired a bunch of stuff reinstalled electric push button ignition. I turned it off Monday and the battery drained. when I tried turning it back on Dan to melt a wire from the solenoid to the alternator. Then it wouldn't start. I replaced the battery solenoid, fuel filter, ignition relay, fuel pump relay, the ignition button itself, battery terminals and wires. Now it will start if I spray starting fluid then it will shut off when starting fluid burns off.

Hello,

So when you turn the key, can you hear the fuel pump come on?
If the pump is not coming on it could be due to a bad pump or faulty wiring. Since you have already replace the relay the issue could be wiring or the pump itself.

If the pump comes on but it does not run then you could have a faulty fuel pressure regulator.

Fuel pump did not turn on. I've replaced the solenoid battery cables terminals etcetera. I also replaced the starter, the fuel pump relay ignition switch relay on the push-button ignition that was installed. I replaced the fuel filter I replaced I've checked all the grounds to make sure they were clean. I'm not a mechanic but I am at a loss for on this one.

Well, it sounds like you could have a bad wiring to the pump or a bad pump.
You will have to check to see if you are getting power to the fuel pump. To do that you will have to access the fuel pump wiring connector. If it has power with the key on then the pump is bad. If it does not have power then you have a short in the wiring.
