Truck stalls and completely turn off when idle/stopped

A couple days ago my vehicle started slowly sputtering and somewhat shaking, and now it will stall and completely turn off when idle/stopped. It does start right up, but to prevent it from turning off I've had to keep it in neutral which somewhat helps.

Hi,

Often times a rough idle and stalling is the result of an engine vacuum leak. That is where I would suggest starting to check. Here is a link that explains how it is done:

When you look through the second link, one of the last things mentioned is to have the computer scanned to determine if there are diagnostic trouble codes that may be present and helpful. If you don't own a scanner, often times a parts store will do it free of charge.

Start by looking for a vacuum leak and let me know the results or if you have other questions.
