I replaced all the sensors, torque converter, an solenoid pack. It goes 60 mph fine. I have to let off gas pedal when trying to get up to speed little quick and press it again so, it can shift gears. Can you help me figure it out?

Good morning,

Does it shift through all the gears?

I need more information. what is the exact issue?

How long since you changed the oil/filter in the transmission?

I just put new oil in about two months when I put new torque converter thing that was my problem. Even though that was one issue that did need to be done. It will shift through all gears but it only does when I let off gas and press gas in again. It will stay in gear at high rpm's until I do as I said. But if I ease into the gas pedal it will shift on its own. Just not when you try to get up to speed little quicker.

Okay, is the check engine light on? Are there any codes?

There is a transmission shift cable attached to the throttle body linkage. Are the brackets tight and the cable connected?

No, codes. I have not checked all that. I did have someone tell that it could be the shift cable. I reput on the cable after I took transmission out to replace the torque converter in it. Could the cable be a problem?

Yes it could as it controls the throttle valve which controls the shift points.

Okay. I was thinking it would be the valve body clogged, but I try shift cable and linkages first. Thanks

I forgot that when I go up hills my truck would only go 25-35 mph to go up. Would that still be linkage?

Engine runs fine. As far as I know it's something with transmission. It does high rpm's at time in a gear until I let off gas and press it again to shift in a gear. I don't think it down shifts like it is suppose to.

The only codes are for o2 sensors an evap large leak. There's no other codes on my truck. It has a timing chain. Could the chain jump a tooth without putting a code?

This is a transmission issue.

Did you try adjusting the shift cable?

That I have not done. I was looking at getting a new one. I'm going to look at that an the linkage areas. When I get the chance to. Could the valve body cause any of the issue to?
