RECENTLY I BOUGHT A 2000 EXCURSION. TOOK IT TO THE CAR WASH AND I NOTICED WATER LEAKING IN THE CAB ON THE PASSENGER SIDE UP FRONT BY THE PASSENGER DOOR. RIGHT WHERE THE FUEL RELAY SWITCH IS. WHEN PULLED OUT THE PARKING LOT THE TRUCK DIED ON ME. THE FUEL PUMP WAS NOT WORKING.I GOT IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC. HE HAS SINCE REPLACED MY FUEL PUMP AND FILTER. HE HAS CHECKED THE CRANK CENSOR, CAM CENSOR. HE MADE SURE ALL THE WIRING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BEHIND THE PANEL IS DRY. HE CHECKED THE COILS AND THE MASS AIR FLOW CENSOR. THE TRUCK IDLES STRONG FOR HOURS BUT WHEN YOU GIVE IT GAS, IT LOOSES PRESSURE. LIKE SOMETHING IS KILLING THE PRESSURE. WHEN THE TRUCK DIES OUT IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP STRONG AND RUNS STRONG FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN IT DIES BACK OUT AGAIN.
1. HE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE OXYGEN CENSORS WOULD CAUSE THIS.
2. WHAT AREAS TO LOOK IN NEXT.
3. WHERE IS THE FUEL INJECTION MODULE LOCATED
IT IS A 2000 V10 TRITON
