I have a 1993 Chevy Silverado Diesel dually truck. The morning after a big rain storm is when the trouble starts. My check engine light will be on when that is not normal. As I’m leaving my house going down the road doing around 35 to 40 everything is fine, it is when I hit the highway and want to do 50 and over I have problems. I can feel my engine go skip, skip, skip and while it does not slow the truck down I can certainly feel it. Yesterday was marginally worse and I was nervous to even try to go over 45 mph.
After my truck has sat at work all day in the sunshine it runs fine. Obviously something is getting wet, but what? This does not happen when I wash my truck, only after it rains. My mechanic does not know the reason. Do you?
Thank you for your help.
