Truck engine shuts off while running

Truck engine shut off while driving twice. Wait a few minutes and starts back up fine and runs with no missing smooth. Check engine light has been staying on about all the time for about the last week.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Having the check engine light on means there is a trouble code stored in the vehicles computer.First thing needing to be done is have the code(s) retrieved.If you don't have access to a scanner/code reader most local auto parts stores will check for free or have a tool loaner program and will rent you one.Here is a tutorial showing what is involved:
