When I crank the truck and put it in drive and start to take off it will jerk and then immediately shut off. And the brakes don't seem to be working they will just go to the floor when pushed.

Hi,

It sounds like you have two different issues. When you place it in drive, does it jump like you pop the clutch on a manual transmission? If it does, did it just start this all at once?

If that is the case, it could be related to the torque converter.

Let me know.
