Hi,
Did this happen all at once? Have you confirmed the fuel pressure is within the manufacturer's specs? If it's too high due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator, that can cause backfiring. Also, a very lean fuel mixture can do the same.

Also, try disconnecting the MAF sensor and see if it starts. (See pic 1 for location)
