when i turn the key to crank it makes the clicking noise which automatically tells me it's the battery, but that was replaced close to two years ago. I have heard it could possibly be the solenoid. i also know that Nissan's are notorious for their starters and alternators going bad. any help?

We need to do a couple things. First, just because the battery was replaced two years ago does not rule it out. You are correct that the clicking noise is normally a weak battery. We need to load test the battery to start. Most parts stores can do this. Then we need to test the alternator. Again, most parts stores can do this.

If the only issue is it is clicking then it is unlikely that it is anything but the battery. Clearly there are other things but I would not go any further until you rule out the battery and the alternator.
