Trouble codes P0012, how do I fix it?

I need a full guidance on how to perform a required repair for the following DTCs:

1.P0012 Camshaft position (CMP)A-timing over-retarded (bank 1).

We can only handle one problem per thread. Please repost your other issue. the P0012 Camshaft position (CMP)A-timing over-retarded (bank 1). The code is probable due to little metal flakes and gunk clogging up the camshaft timing oil control valve. I would remove the valve for inspection and cleaning, also make sure the engine oil is clean and full. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
