Hello Jeremy, Welcome to 2CarPros.
Well the best way will start with reading what codes are stored in the system to determine what parts to test first. Your truck can go into limp more for a lot of reasons, engine related, transmission related or simply electrical. No way to tell which system is causing the issue without a scan of the codes. Most parts stores will scan the vehicle for free or you could buy one of the hundreds of code scan tools out there and DIY (which is very handy if you cannot easily drive it to a store). In either case don't go by the "translations" given for the codes by the parts store or the tool, you want to write down the codes and just post them here. Many parts stores will tell you "Oh it's code PXXXX, that means change this part" Then when that part doesn't do it, they'll sell you the next part on the list.
Also can you describe what it is doing and anything you have done for testing or replacing of any parts as well as the codes. With many cars even seemingly unrelated things can cause problems these days. Thank you.
