My OBD2 code reader is giving me a code p 1886 and p 1864, do not know what they mean.

The error codes P1886 and P1864 for a 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe are related to the transmission. Here's what each code indicates:

P1886: Shift Timing Solenoid


P1864: Torque Converter Clutch Circuit

Here is how to fix the problem in the images below, check the wiring and switch assembly. Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes. The Torque Converter shift solenoid can cause the code as well.
