There is a fluid leak on my transmission even though it doesn’t make a sound I can feel my car started to accelerate slowly and my RPMs go high every time I drive on an inclined road. And last week I went for an oil change and a metal fall when my mechanic was raising the car, he showed me that there was a leak, and something was loose, I forgot the name of it. You can see it on the video below. Please help if you have any idea or if it can do damage to my car. My mechanic said it’ll cost around $800.00 to fix it but idk it doesn’t seem right.

Thanks for the video, it helps. It looks like the CV half axle is loose from its mounts. I would tighten that up which may stop the fluid leak which could be why the transmission is slipping. If the transmission is still leaking after you tighten the mount the axle seal will need to be replaced, here is how the job is done in the images below, yes $800.00 sounds steep to fix this kind of problem, you should be able to get it done for half that much. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Yes, I would not drive the car anymore, it will make the problem much worse.
